Well Behaved Women is a privately held company founded in 2006 by Angela Thompson. We are currently headquartered in Laguna Beach, California. We partner with the top editors, artists and illustrators across the nation to produce products of excellence and inspiration.

Well Behaved Women began as a community project called Utopia, an impractical scheme for social improvement. Angela was inspired by Patch Adams' mission “to share and spread generosity, compassion and a commitment to service in your own community.”

She asked the amazing women in her life to invest their time and talent to produce works for other authors. In return Well Behaved Women would accept a modest percentage of the sales--allowing the creators to retain ownership of their own manuscripts rather than surrendering their publishing rights.
